Active vs. Act if?

I wish I was the latter. But I'm not.

I wish I acted only upon reward. But I don't. I'm active only on inspiration. I wish I acted only on incentive. But I don't. I'm active only on ideas. I wish I acted better than I was yesterday. But I'm not. I'm active only on tomorrows.
